To commemorate the ideals and principles of Mahatma Gandhi, Sri Aurobindo Mira College of Education organized a seminar on the topic “Relevance of Gandhism Today “ which was graced by three eminent personalities from Gandhi Memorial Museum Dr.R.Devadoss (Principal),Mr.K.R.Nanda Rao (Secretary), Mr.R.Natarajan (Education Officer) .The speakers emphasized Gandhi’s vision on education and how his words are still relevant and significant today and how Gandhi advocated the two major concepts of Ahimsa and Satyagraha. The speakers also discussed Gandhi’s emphasis on experiential learning and how students should learn through practical experience rather than just textbooks. The event concluded with an interactive Q&A session, for which our distinguished chief guests Mr.R.Natarajan and Dr.R.Devadoss provided insightful responses to the queries posed by the students. As Gandhi once said, “Be the change you want to see in the world” let the student teachers bring the change in them and be a role model to their students in future.
