World Sight day-2019
“The only thing worse than being blind is having sight but no vision”
The World Sight Day, observed annually on the second Thursday of October, is a global event meant to draw attention to awareness of eye donation. World Sight Day was commemorated as SAMCE with enthusiasm and ebullience on Tuesday, Ist October 2019. On this great occasion, Dr. J. Ganesh, MJF D.C. for sight first campaign of Lions Club since 2007, was invited to give awareness among the student teachers about the need for Eye Donation. He started his service through the inspiration from Dr. A.P.J.Abdul kalam and Vivekananda. He initiated his address through videos and interactions. He motivated and educated the student teachers through questioning sessions and rewarded them with prizes, student teachers eagerly participated in the sessions and understood that through denoting eye visions for future generations can be enlightened, and even after death we can make our eyes alive.
“Giving is not just about to make a donation; it’s about making a difference”
